Qatar-based Green Sky Capital has signed the financing deal for a landmark sustainable aviation fuel production facility on a 100,000-sq-m site within the Suez Canal Economic Zone in Egypt. The engineering, procurement and construction contract for the project has been awarded to French group SeaOwl.
Major carrier CMA CGM has announced its Indamex service will transit Suez Canal on fronthaul and backhaul voyages between India/Pakistan and US East Coast in a notable step towards a largescale return of container ships to the Red Sea region.
Suez Canal’s revenues are expected reach approximately $4.2 billion this year, up from $3.9 billion in the previous year, said Osama Rabie, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA).
