Jazeera Airways resumed operations at Kuwait International Airport’s T5 with six direct flights to Beirut, Cairo, Istanbul, and Mumbai, carrying over 2,000 passengers, restoring international connectivity after 57 days of airport closures.
Kuwaiti low-cost carrier Jazeera Airways has announced plans to launch flights to 10 new destinations from T5 terminal at Kuwait International Airport. New direct destinations from T5 include Jeddah, Riyadh and Damascus as well as Amman, Beirut, Mumbai, Cairo, Kochi, Delhi and Istanbul.
An Iranian drone attack struck fuel tanks at Kuwait International Airport on Wednesday, sparking a massive fire but causing no casualties, Kuwait's state news agency KUNA said. The fuel tanks, which belonged to the Kuwait Aviation Fuelling Company (Kafco) have sustained significant damages.
Rolls-Royce is supplying seven mtu backup-power generators to expand the energy infrastructure at Kuwait International Airport. The 20-cylinder Series 4000 DS 3600 diesel generators will be installed in the new Terminal 2, where they will secure the power supply for the catering building and the airport’s central energy infrastructure, as well as other facilities.
