DP World has welcomed Morten Maersk, one of the world’s largest container vessels, on its maiden call to South Container Terminal, strengthening shipping connectivity between Saudi Arabia and global markets.
The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has announced the addition of Maersk’s shipping service (Maersk - MECL) to Jeddah Islamic Port, thus enhancing the port’s maritime connectivity, expanding its service network with regional and global ports, and supporting the smooth flow of trade and supply chains.
DP World, a leading provider of smart end-to-end logistics solutions, has added three new semi-automated quay cranes at its terminal in Jeddah Islamic Port, thus increasing its capacity and enabling more efficient handling of the world’s largest container vessels.
