Air India Express, India’s international value carrier, has announced the reinstatement of operations to Qatar and Bahrain, along with additional flights to the UAE, Oman and Saudi Arabia, starting April 30.
Air India and Air India Express continue scheduled flights to Jeddah and Muscat as Saudi and Omani airspace remain open. Due to wider West Asia restrictions, both airlines added March 8 non-scheduled flights, including extra services between Delhi, Mumbai and Dubai, and 30 additional India–UAE flights.
With airspace over Saudi Arabia and Oman open, Air India and Air India Express continue to operate scheduled flights to and from the kingdom's port city Jeddah and the sultanate's capital Muscat. To support guests stranded in the region, the duo will operate 43 flights across the region today (March 7).
Air India Express unveiled ‘The Flying Canvas’, a special art‑wrapped Boeing 737‑8 aeroplane (VT‑BWV), extend its long‑standing tradition of celebrating India’s cultural heritage through evocative liveries. The custom art livery for the VT‑BWV is an extension of the airline’s Tales of India initiative.
Air India Express has announced that it will resume flight operations to and from Muscat starting today (March 3) with scheduled services to Delhi, Kochi, Kozhikode, Mangaluru, Mumbai and Tiruchirappally. It is the first Indian airline to resume operations in the Gulf region in the current scenario.
Leading Indian carriers - Air India and Air India Express - are operating 28 scheduled and non-scheduled flights to the Middle East. Of these, Air India will operate a return service each from Delhi and Mumbai, while Air India Express will fly one each from Bengaluru, Kozhikode and Mangalore.

Indian carriers Air India and Air India Express are jointly operating 48 scheduled and non-scheduled flights, to and from the Middle East region on March 16. The duo will continue their scheduled operations to Jeddah and Omani capital Muscat including a total of 10 flights between India and the Saudi port city.
Following instructions from UAE Airport Authorities, Air India Express has cancelled all its flights to and from Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah and Sharjah. However, it will operate one-round trip on Delhi–Dubai sector, to and from Dubai, subject to prevailing conditions at the time of operation.
