UAE aerobic team performs at Abu Dhabi F1 venue
ABU DHABI, November 25, 2018
The UAE's brightly coloured, seven-jet Fursan Al Emarat aerobatic display team performed stunts in the skies above Yas Marina Circuit during the build up to the 2018 Formula 1 season finale in Abu Dhabi.
A perennial fan favourite, the UAE team’s dazzling and perfectly choreographed displays has become one of the weekend’s most anticipated spectacles.
Fursan Al Emarat’s commander, Captain Nasser Al Obaidli, described the displays which are flown between 100 and 6,000 feet, as a series of breathtaking air frescoes, the most important and well known of which is the Emirates DNA plate, a breathtaking and balletic spiral manoeuvre that always draws gasps of delight.
Captain Al Obeidli said: "The UAE team’s representation at a range of local, regional and international events is a great honour that we are proud of, and of course, we are delighted to be displaying once more during the 2018 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
“We train for 30 minutes every day in the build-up and my team of pilots has a lot of experience. For us, the display has become a fantastic event that we hope makes the fans feel that aircraft are dancing in the sky to the most beautiful music.
The display offered race goers a sneak preview of pre-race fly past, which will take place together with an all-new 10 Year Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Anniversary liveried Boeing 787-9 and Year of Zayed liveried Etihad Airways Airbus A380 over the Yas Marina Circuit start line at 16:57pm.
Following the UAE national anthem, the Fursan Al Emarat and Etihad Airways display will be the last act before the curtain lifts on the Formula 1 2018 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. – TradeArabia News Service
