The Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard Company (ASRY) has promoted a number of its highly-skilled employees to leadership and supervisory positions within the company as part of its ongoing commitment to empowering its outstanding national talents.

These promotions form part of ASRY’s wider efforts to support career growth and empower national staff, said ASRY in a statement. 

The company has also provided salary increases to more than 550 Bahraini employees over the past year, in co-operation with Tamkeen (Labor Fund). In addition, more than 80 Bahraini employees have received promotions and pay rises during the current year.

On the key initiative, CEO Dr Ahmed Al Abri said: "We are pleased to announce a new round of promotions for a selection of our highly experienced and competent employees, who will now assume leadership posts in a number of administrative and production departments across the company."

"This step is a recognition of the extraordinary performance they have demonstrated in their respective areas of work," he stated.

The company keeps launching initiatives to support, train and develop young Bahraini talents, as they are the main pillar driving national development. 

"At ASRY, we believe in the central role that national cadres play in supporting the national economy and in their active contributions to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. For that reason, we work diligently to create high-quality, promising opportunities to embrace and empower these talents, ensuring they are fully involved in advancing the company’s development path," he noted.
