Desert Adventures eyes bigger share of GCC market
DUBAI, April 26, 2018
With the UAE, Oman and Jordan continuing to attract huge number of visitors from nearby GCC countries, Desert Adventures has taken a significant step forward in increasing its market share in the region by appointing Akhom Hospitality Consulting (AHC) as its sales representative in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Bahrain.
Established in 2015 by its founder and managing director Mouhamed Abdulkhalek, AHC has since built a solid reputation for handling and promoting well-known global hotel brands to the region, including Accor Hotels.
With a vision of creating a link between the Middle East and the rest of the world, Abdulkhalek has carefully utilised his wealth of experience in strategic business development and marketing, specifically as Middle East and Africa sales in-charge at Sofitel Dubai Downtown, and as head of Middle East and Africa leisure sales at Madinat Jumeirah. Mouhamed’s most recent project involved a strategic partnership with two key players in the Middle East region to bring Akhom’s core services to the fast-growing Iranian and Turkish markets. He has also put up Akhom DWC LLC in the vibrant city of Dubai to extend the AHC’s global presence in the Middle East.
“Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Bahrain are key source markets of visitors to our destinations,” said Anabela Radosevic, head of sales and marketing at Desert Adventures Tourism. “In Dubai alone, the GCC tops the list of visitors by region at 22 per cent, with Saudi Arabia and Kuwait being at number two and nine respectively in its list of top 10 key source markets."
“On the other hand, Saudi Arabia is also among the top source markets for visitors in Abu Dhabi’s hotels,” Radosevic adds. “By all indications, the GCC clearly presents huge potential for further growth especially with most of the UAE’s hotel offerings and activities being geared for family holiday packages. We, therefore, welcome Mouhamed and his team at AHC into the Desert Adventures family and look forward to building mutually beneficial relationship aimed at further growing our respective businesses.” - TradeArabia News Service
