Sharjah Beach to be developed into major tourist hub

SHARJAH, November 27, 2017

Sharjah's government is working on several key infrastructure schemes including the Sharjah Creek development plan besides an ambitious project to develop the emirate's beach into a tourist destination, reported state news agency Wam.

Linking the sea to the Sharjah Creek is among the projects, which will contribute to enhancing Sharjah's status as a tourist destination in the region, stated the report citing the emirate's ruler.

HH Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah was speaking at the Direct Line Programme broadcast live on Sharjah Radio and TV on Sunday.

These projects will include a number of hotels and tourist facilities, stated the Sharjah Ruler while responding to one of the callers.

Dr Sheikh Sultan promised him that a permanent pasture from Muhafiz to Al Fayah will be established.

"We will plant the area between Muhafiz bridge and a Qatah tunnel and surround it with a fence to be a nature reserve," he added.
