ABU DHABI, November 22, 2017
Al Maryah Island, a top business and lifestyle destination in Abu Dhabi, will feature its annual Winter Wonderland this festive season with entertainment and exciting attractions.
Visitors can celebrate the festive season and enjoy entertainment featuring roaming performances including marching bands and live stage shows. Visitors can also explore a wide selection of festive food and beverage offerings, arts and crafts, and enjoy carnival games for families.
The festivities will kick off with an extravagant tree lighting ceremony at the waterfront Promenade. Family and friends are invited to come together to marvel at the stunning display and have their photograph taken on December 14 at 7:00pm.
A full schedule of live performances throughout the week will keep the whole family entertained with shows like Festive Flash Mob, performed by professional dance troupes; Santa’s Workshop Show, which is set to bring Christmas spirit through a spectacular group singing performance; Prince Drummer, Fantasia, Snow Swan, and Frosted, a performance inspired by the much-loved Disney’s Frozen movie.
Complementing the festive mood, cosy winter cottages covered in frosty snowflakes will host children’s activities including snow globe making, cookie decorating, face painting and much more. A sliding slope park, a snow zone and a bungee trampoline will keep the whole family entertained for hours on end, while the youngest visitors can enjoy train rides around the Promenade.
Christmas music and spectacular decorations, including coloured lights and an enormous LED sculpture of Santa’s Sleigh and his reindeer set on the Promenade, will immerse visitors in the holiday spirit. All shows and activities will take place between 3:00 pm – 10:00 pm.
Step inside The Galleria on Al Maryah Island for holiday fun with a variety of activities set to run from December 14 to 26. Guests can enjoy a roaming Winter Ballet Performance, children’s arts and crafts workshop, and special appearances from Santa and his elves.
Santa’s Grotto from December 7 to 24 at The Galleria’s Great Room will offer fantastic photo opportunities, while children will also be able to enjoy seasonal arts and crafts, including cardmaking, cracker making, writing letters to Santa and face painting throughout the month. – TradeArabia News Service
