Fairmont Quasar Istanbul opens new Arabic-inspired restaurant

ISTANBUL, October 19, 2017

Rising above the slopes of The Bosphorus, Fairmont Quasar Istanbul, which opened early this year, has launched its new Turkish restaurant “Aila”.

Looking out over centuries of history, yet silhouetted against the modern skyline of Istanbul, Fairmont Quasar Istanbul’s talented chefs celebrate the freshest seasonal ingredients from Istanbul’s markets, combined with seasonal specials. A journey of discovery through Turkey’s culinary history, Fairmont Quasar Istanbul’s new Aila restaurant has the same philosophy; embracing authentic Turkish cuisine but with a nod to Arabic specialties.

Kebabs from the central Turkish-style “ocakbaşı” grill are created using the very best, locally-sourced ingredients and all prepared in front of the guests. Same are the “mezzes”; the traditional, family style shared appetizers of Turkish tables.

The traditional dishes and authentic setting ensure a unique and entertaining dining experience. The “Spice Library” consisting of over 100 spices, is a tribute to the historical Spice Market of the city and a unique design element as well as an add-on to the dishes as guests can choose the spices they prefer in their dishes. A traditional option within many Arabic houses and restaurants, The Spice Library is the center of Aila’s culinary masterpiece allowing guests to truly indulge in their very own personalised dish.

As the weather warms up, glass walls open onto the courtyard, transforming Aila into one of the most exciting new alfresco restaurants in Istanbul.

With DJ music on the weekends, Aila is the place to dine in Istanbul to feel the pulse of the city from day to night…

Other dining venues of Fairmont Quasar Istanbul:
• Stations – An atmospheric restaurant, capturing the legacy of the old liquor factory and providing casual dining throughout the day;
• Demlique – An exquisite café with dark-wood herringbone floor and distinctive geometric ceiling, celebrating the Turkish tradition of tea and coffee with sweet pastries and freshly baked bread;
• The Marble Bar – At the heart of the hotel, a legendary lobby bar where guests can partake in the art of the perfect cocktail;
• Ukiyo – Located on the terrace, with inspiring Bosphorus views, the pinnacle of summer style.

A new icon for the vibrant Mecidiyeköy district, Fairmont Quasar sits at a crossroads in Istanbul – where eclectic neighborhood bazaars, shopping centers and colorful side streets meet modern shopping centers and commercial properties. Fairmont Quasar blends a sense of urban culture and industrial flair with the city’s storied traditions and a strong sense of place. - TradeArabia News Service
