An evening devoted to Prosecco is coming to 55&5th, The Grill -  the UAE capital’s swanky Manhattan-style restaurant and lounge located at The St Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi.

Serata Frizzante, or ‘sparkling evening’, will celebrate the fancy Italian fizz with two hours of free-flowing bubbles, plus a generous selection of crostini, pizza, and other small bites.

The event will be hosted by Federica Bon of winery Nino Franco, which has been making the drink for almost a century. Based in Valdobbiadene, in the Veneto region of north-east Italy, the family-run firm came to global prominence in the 1980s, when a descendant of founder Antonio Franco promoted Prosecco as Italy’s answer to Champagne.

The pale-colored vino is sweet yet pleasantly fresh, with a fruity flavour reminiscent of ripe apple, almond and candied lemon peel. Tick tock, it’s Prosecco o’clock!

Serata Frizzante will take place on Tuesday, 26th September from 7pm to 9pm. It will be held in the bar and terrace areas of 55&5th, The Grill, an upscale eatery whose name bears the address of the original St. Regis New York.

Entry is Dh195 ($53) per person. The price includes two hours’ free-flowing Prosecco, canapés and covers all service charges and fees. - TradeArabia News Service
