Al Kout to host wide range of local and global food concepts

KUWAIT, August 2, 2017

Al Kout – the largest waterfront retail and leisure destination in Kuwait – will welcome 35 regional and international F&B brands including 11 home grown dining concepts to cater to visitors of different taste.

Homegrown dining concepts and sustainably-sourced food is witnessing greater demand among customers more interested in authenticity and a healthy lifestyle. One of the homegrown brands catering to the market demand is Poêle, a French based culinary concept, using all fresh ingredients that are carefully sourced from suppliers on the same day, and customised to suit special customer requests. Poêle is more than just an average eatery: known in French for the traditionally copper frying pan, Poêle is a dining haven, where art and food collide.

For Chinese food lovers there’s China Garden, a local concept which puts a lot of emphasis on quality using only the freshest ingredients available in the market. It is a concept that was developed by two young Kuwaiti men who were eager to bring an authentic Chinese experience to the local market where they felt it was lacking.

Another refined concept set to open is Life with Cacao, a fine dining restaurant and dessert destination that is renowned for using only the finest and freshest homegrown ingredients in its culinary creations as per world-class standards. Life with Cacao is the place to enjoy a hearty breakfast, gratifying lunch or dinner or simply the best ending to any meal: a mouth-watering array of desserts.

Seafood lovers will find their paradise in Erzalat Al Seef. The name of the restaurant literally means ‘shoreline cottage’ in reference to the place where traditional tide fishermen used to rest in during the tides’ ebb and flow, and their nets to fill up with the sea’s bounty. Erzalat Al Seef is a truly authentic interpretation of traditional life in Kuwait and is tailored to revive a unique experience of Kuwait’s and Gulf heritage in a contemporary atmosphere. This fine dining venue presents a rich à la carte menu of traditional and seafood cuisine and focuses on fresh fish and seafood. Diners can also enjoy their favorite seafood dishes grilled in the traditional “Masqouf” way - the first of its kind in Kuwait.

Other dining concepts set to open include Burgerholic, Karak Gholam, Crepe Affaire, Abou Jassem, Gonuts Donuts, Five Guys, Arby’s, Triangle, Dip & Dip, Copper Chimney, PF Chang’s, Vapiano, Wokdojo, Wendy’s and IHOP.

Christian Wistrom, general manager – Leasing, GLA Management, said: “As the new Al Kout Mall gears up for its opening, the introduction of these brands will cater to the discerning tastes of the diverse, cosmopolitan customers in Kuwait, who always demand the best, the latest and the most innovative F&B concepts. The signing with 35 brands comes close on the heels of unprecedented leasing momentum that has enabled the addition of many highly-desirable dining outlets to Al Kout. Led by our customer’s choices, we have made the new Al Kout Mall home to innovative Kuwaiti F&B concepts, and welcome others to consider Al Kout Mall to ensure that we offer unique experiences that differentiate our overall offering. We are confident our customers will enjoy these new experiences along with the shopping, entertainment, cinema, and yachting experiences all available at Al Kout.” - TradeArabia News Service
