GTA ME signs exclusive collaboration with Geneva Tourism

DUBAI, May 25, 2017

GTA Middle East has signed an exclusive three-month agreement with Geneva Tourism & Conventions Foundation as part of their efforts to grow family and leisure travellers from the GCC to the Swiss city.

Included in the agreement, a number of special offers have been unveiled including exclusive discounted rates for Geneva hotels, with new promotions highlighted every 15 days. In addition, travel bookers can also triple their G Shop Points when booking hotels and city attractions until July 31, 2017. Launched in 2015 with more than 3,000+ users today, G Shop is a simple, easy-to-use bookers reward programme.

Speaking of the collaboration, Rami Mashini, GTA’s vice president of Sales and Marketing for Middle East, Africa & Turkey said: “Geneva offers culture, history, beauty, and it is the third greenest city in the world and is renowned for its beautiful landscape. It gives me great pleasure to announce our collaboration with Geneva Tourism & Conventions Foundation. It presents a range of exclusive offers, providing tempting benefits for our travel trade retail and wholesale partners, enticing them to help drive more GCC travellers to the destination.”

With direct daily flights from the GCC countries, average summer temperatures of 20°C, the high-quality hotels and restaurants, luxury shops and boutiques. Geneva is already very popular for Middle East travellers, especially with its lively summer events which take part in the program. The Geneva Festival for example is highly popular with travellers from the GCC and will take place from August 3 – August 13, with a phenomenal firework display on August 12.

The destination is renowned for its variety of attractions including Jet d’eau, a magnificent 140 metre-high water jet, the Old Town, a variety of museums, and the Palais des Nations - the European headquarters of the United Nations. Geneva is also home to the world’s largest concentration of single brand watch boutiques. Other featured attractions include:

• A relaxing three-hours cruise on CGN offering an unparalleled view of the "Jet d'eau", the Mont-Blanc, monuments, famous villas, the UN, and the parks and gardens bordering the Lake.
• A city tour that will provide an insight into international Geneva including the international organisations district, the Old Town on foot, and a mini-train ride.
