Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel appoints new executive chef

KUWAIT, May 2, 2017

Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa in Kuwait has welcomed Chef Serkan Yelkenbasan as the new executive chef who will oversee the resort’s seven restaurants.

The award-winning chef from Turkey brings with him comprehensive experience across kitchen operations, banqueting, and VIP events in both local and international hotels, resorts, and restaurants across the globe.

Trained under Michelin Star chefs, Yelkenbasan brings with him more than 15 years of culinary experience. His attention to details and perfectionism, along with his passion for flawless service distinguishes him the field. Having attended culinary school and graduated from Westminster University in London, his culinary talents have earned him positions in London with Hilton Paddington and Hilton Park Lane as executive sous chef. He also held the role of executive chef in Sheraton Skyline Hotel in which he was recognized for this culinary excellence with the highly-esteemed British AA Rosette Award.

Through his passionate journey he also had the honor of serving Prince Charles of England, and working as the private chef for the former Turkish Prime Minister’s family. On the side, he contributed to volunteer work in Unicef and the International Humanitarian organization committed to ending child hunger. Additionally, he served as a member of Craft Guild of Chefs in London and was a judge in the UK’s largest and most prestigious chef competition at Hotelympia Salon Culinaire in the UK. - TradeArabia News Service
