ABU DHABI, April 9, 2017

Jannah Hotels & Resorts has appointed Mohamed Hani Fakih as the group’s chief operating officer.

Taking up his position with immediate effect, Fakih will oversee Jannah Hotels & Resorts’ operations across its portfolio, which includes Jannah Burj Al Sarab, Jannah Resort & Villas Ras Al Khaimah, Jannah Marina Bay Suites and Jannah Place Dubai Marina.

Lebanese-born Fakih has an established career as a hotelier, having worked internationally for more than 20 years. He joins Jannah from a luxury international hospitality group, where, as an executive committee member, he oversaw brand’s standards, and concept development; and was entrusted dynamic responsibilities in the hotels’ operations.

With a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from the American University of C&E and Cornell University, Fakih brings with him extensive operational and concept development experience, applying more than two decades of international hospitality operation skills to ensure integration and consistency across all Jannah Hotels & Resorts in the region.

Jannah Hotels & Resorts chief executive officer Nehme Imad Darwiche said, “Mohamed Hani Fakih and I were classmates and great achievers. We enjoyed challenges and ultimately became the leading students in our university. Our reunion together will definitely revive the triumphs and I can see us again as the two leading executives in the hospitality industry. I count on him for co-leading Jannah growth and raising our standards.

“His contribution to the group will further enhance our management team and Mohamed will greatly contribute to Jannah’s continued evolution as a world’s leading hospitality brand,” he concluded.

“Today I am joining a growing company and I believe this is the perfect time to join one like Jannah. My appointment is beyond business-related, it is also very personal for us. We not only aim to grow and raise our standards, but we also intend to become leaders in the hospitality industry,” said Fakih. - TradeArabia News Service
