Aviareps ME Caravan kicks off in Dubai
DUBAI, October 17, 2016
Aviareps, a global airline and tourism representative, has launched its Middle East Travel Caravan – a calendar of networking events that brings together leading destination, aviation and tourism brands under one roof.
The Aviareps Middle East Travel Caravan kicked off in Dubai on October 16 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Road and will be heading off to Doha in Qatar on October 18 and Muscat in Oman on October 19.
A second Aviareps Travel Caravan will then be conducted from November 27–30, 2016 and visit Kuwait, and Riyadh and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.
Glenn Johnston, general manager, Aviareps Middle East Officem, said: “We are extremely excited to launch this initiative. The demand from destinations and tourism entities around the world wanting to reach out to the Middle East’s outbound travel industry - one of the world’s top spending markets - has been growing year on year. Additionally, this unique format brings destination and tourism brands from across the world all under the one roof, providing a variety of business development opportunities that the local travel industry has appreciated. Through this platform participating partners will increase their presence within, and knowledge of the Middle East outbound market, and local travel agencies will immediately be able to offer their clients new and exciting travel packages tailored to the region’s specific needs.”
The Middle East Travel Caravan in Dubai was attended by over 100 leading travel trade professionals. Tourism destination brands participating in the event included: Philippines Department of Tourism (PDOT), Slovenia Tourism Board (STB), Kyoto Convention and Visitors Bureau (KCVB), Orange County Visitors Association (OCVA) and Visit California. Other participating brands included RwandAir, Qatar Airways, Seawings, Hong Kong Airlines and TopTravelTrip to name a few. - TradeArabia News Service
