Fumba Town, a first-of-its-kind gated community in the African island of Zanzibar, is set to make its UAE debut at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) which opens on Monday.

The project is being developed by CPS Live Limited, a German company based in Zanzibar.

Located in Fumba, only 5-km from the international airport and less than 20 minutes drive from the commercial centre Stone Town, this 160-acre project is designed to become a modern habitat.

Fumba Town Development offers modern and affordable living as well as commercial space with unique investment opportunity available in the growing real estate market.

It is being promoted by ZIPA (Zanzibar Investment Promotion Authority) and enjoys full support of the government of Zanzibar and Tanzania.

CPS Live, supported by Environmental Systems, together with a group of German engineers, architects, urban designers and permaculture specialists spent the last three years developing a master plan for a comprehensive residential housing project on a 1.5km stretch of seashore of the west coast of Zanzibar.

According to him, the project is introducing Prefab House System, a new way of building in Africa.

"The houses are built with long lasting, innovative and renewable materials that are adapted to Zanzibar’s climate and environmental conditions. A partnering construction company has also been commissioned to build conventional concrete manufacture according to the highest quality standards," stated Dietzold.
