The Ajman Palace Hotel chefs win top honours

DUBAI, March 29, 2016

Chefs from The Ajman Palace Hotel won top honours at the recent Emirates Salon Culinaire (ESC), held in conjunction with Gulfood 2016.

The success across various disciplines reflected the diversity of the cuisines offered at the hotel.
 
More than 1,300 chefs from leading five-star hotels in the region competed in the event and The Ajman Palace Hotel team walked away with eight medals.
 
Congratulating the winners, Ferghal Purcell, general manager of The Ajman Palace Hotel, said: "By winning top honours across a broad range of categories, The Ajman Palace Hotel team demonstrated the diversity of our restaurant menus where guests can enjoy superb dining from around the world. The Emirates Salon Culinaire was a great opportunity for our chefs to show their abilities and practical skills. To be recognised by international judges from the World Association of Chefs’ Societies is a tremendous achievement and we believe it will serve to inspire them to do better."
 
The winners included chef Muhammad Asif who won a gold competing in Practical Cookery category while chef Losaka Luminda Wellage walked away with two bronze medals and a merit - one medal each for Individual Ice Carving and Vegetable Carving and the merit for Open Showpiece. Chef Habibullah Maulaali Bepari won a bronze for his mastery of Butchery. Others securing merit were chefs Binay Singh in Practical Cookery, Raja Balusamy in Tier, and Sajan Bista for Practical Cookery. - TradeArabia News Service
