Noureddine...resposible for efficient housekeeping operations at Dukes Dubai

Dukes Dubai welcomes new executive housekeeper

DUBAI, March 13, 2016

Dubai-based luxury property developer and holding company Seven Tides International has announced the latest addition to its pre-opening team with the appointment of Ahmed Noureddine as executive housekeeper for its upcoming property Dukes Dubai.

With more than 15 years’ experience in hospitality management and staff training, Noureddine has managed cost effective and efficient housekeeping operations for leading hotels and organisations around the world, including IHG Dubai Festival City, Rosewood London and the Andaz Hotel London by Hyatt, among others. He speaks five languages – English, Spanish, Arabic, French and Portuguese – and has solid experience of keeping luxury properties spick-and-span, the hotel said in a statement.

“The Dubai hospitality market is exceptionally competitive and positive online ratings are essential if Dukes Dubai is going to gain, retain and continue to grow its market share. Cleanliness will be at the very heart of our operation and I’m very pleased that in Ahmed we have an expert to head-up this vitally important division,” said Mete Atakuman, general manager, Dukes Dubai.

P&G Professional, a division of US multinational Proctor and Gamble, recently announced the findings of research carried out with hotel search engine trivago to ascertain the potential impact of a hotel’s cleanliness on a guest's online review.

Over 60 per cent of trivago’s users read online reviews before making their final booking decision and the feedback from trivago's own ‘Quality Test’, a mystery guest programme, indicated that 78 per cent of guests expect an ‘above average' level of cleanliness. If they rate a hotel as clean, they are more likely to give the hotel a high rating overall. Moreover, an increase of one-star rating in cleanliness is likely to improve the overall rating of a property.

“That is quite a responsibility for all housekeepers to live up to. Through guest satisfaction, we are accountable not only for the cleanliness, but indirectly for the business performance and the reputation of Dukes Dubai. It is literally in our hands and that is something I will use to motivate every single member of the housekeeping team,” stated  Noureddine.

Opening in Q4 2016, Dukes Dubai is centrally located on the trunk of Palm Jumeirah, just 10 minutes’ drive from Dubai Marina and Sheikh Zayed Road, and only 45 minutes from Dubai International Airport, Dukes Dubai hotel and apartments is set to add a distinctly British flavour to the city’s luxury hospitality offering.

The 279 guestrooms and 227 hotel apartments will offer world-class leisure, conference and entertainment facilities including a stunning private beach, indoor pool, outdoor infinity pool and state-of-the-art gym, along with a number of food and beverage outlets. - TradeArabia News Service
