Courtyard by Marriott Abu Dhabi marks 1-year anniversary

Courtyard by Marriott World Trade Center, Abu Dhabi, is celebrating a milestone as it marks one year since the hotel opened its doors.
Over the past twelve months, almost 60,000 people have checked in to the hotel and they look forward to welcoming many more in the coming years.
The innovative and trendy hotel brand, targeted young business travellers, is the first Marriott-endorsed hotel in the capital.
Since it opened to guests in December, the talented baristas at the hotel’s quirky Fifth Street Café have made over 17,000 cups of coffee and an impressive 45,000 breakfasts have been served at the signature restaurant, The Bistro.
Richard Bleakley, general manager of the Courtyard by Marriott World Trade Center, Abu Dhabi, said: “We are tremendously excited to be celebrating our first birthday - it has been a busy and eventful year. We have welcomed thousands of guests through our doors and our success is a testament to our talented team of individuals, which is made up of 33 nationalities, who work hard to constantly deliver only the best guest experience possible.
"We have forecasted to close the year with over 70 per cent occupancy, exceeding our expectations thanks to major events such as Idex, Adipec, Formula 1 and Grand Prix.
