Ibis, the world’s leading brand of budget hotels from the Accor Group, has opened the doors of its very first Bahrain location, in Manama’s Seef District.

The new Ibis Seef Manama Hotel, whose soft opening took place on January 21, is expected to further bolster Bahrain’s tourism and hospitality sector, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

Ibis Seef Manama is owned by Kuwait-based Action Hotels Management, whose proprietor is Shaikh Mubarak Al Sabah.

Action Hotels Management has entered into an agreement with Accor Group and currently owns a total of six Ibis hotels across Australia, Jordan, Oman, Kuwait and now Bahrain.

“It is a matter of great pride for the Accor Group to bring the Ibis brand to Bahrain,” the report said quoting Ibis Seef Manama Hotel general manager Traetto Oreste.

The hotel will occupy a key niche in Bahrain’s hospitality sector and contribute to the country’s growing reputation as an attractive tourism destination, the report quoted him as saying.

Ibis Seef provides its guests with 304 rooms and suites including 171 Ibis standard double, 99 Ibis standard twin, two disablesd single, 14 one-bedroom suites (living room and one-bedroom) and 18 one-bedroom apartments.

The hotel has one main restaurant focusing on Mediterranean cuisine. In addition, Ibis Seef offers one café shop, which is open 24 hours daily.

The hotel also operates a total of four meeting rooms which are uniquely positioned on the ninth floor of the hotel within the Ibis Web Corner.

Ibis Seef is located on the intersection of avenue 18 and 28 leading to King Faisal Highway. Easily accessible from Dana Mall, it is less than 1 km away from Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre and 2 km away from Bahrain Financial Harbour and Financial Port. – TradeArabia News Service
