Mammoth water park to open in RAK

Polo RAK Amusements will open its ambitious 110,000 sq m water park project in Ras Al Khaimah on September 29.

The 'Ice land Water Park' is part of the WOW RAK theme park resort being developed in Ras Al Khaimah by Polo RAK Amusements.

Polo RAK Amusements is a joint venture between India's Polo Amusement Park and RAK Investment Authority and RAK Properties.

Operator of two Fun ‘n’ Food Village resorts in Delhi, Polo Amusement Park, said the mammoth water park will offer more than 50 exhilarating water attractions and slides and can accommodate up to 10,000 guests a day.

Besides traditional water park attractions, the Ice Land will boast of some unique attractions such as the Penguin Falls - world’s largest manmade waterfall, Rocky Polar Mountains with the largest assortment of water slides, Penguin Bay - world’s largest Rain Dance Pool, Aqua Soccer and Coral Isle - a snorkeling pool, the company said.

The other thrilling experiences will be at the Arctic Wave Pool, Tundra Baths, Eddy Pond and the Kids Cove - a dedicated area for the kids, it added.

The water park will be launched at a grand ceremony in the presence of Rakia CEO Dr Khater Massaad at WOW RAK resort in Al Jazeera Al Hamra on Thursday, the company said in a statement.

Balwant Singh Chawla, managing director, Polo RAK Amusement, Santokh Singh Chawla, joint managing director Polo RAK Amusements and Mohammed Sultan Al Qadi, CEO and managing director of RAK Properties will attend the launch, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
