Doha luxury hotel to debut at travel expo

Newly launched Grand Hyatt Doha (GHD) will be showcased at the upcoming Arabian Travel Market (ATM), according to a report.

ATM 2009 will run from May 5 to 8 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

GHD will be a part of Qatar Exhibitions Authority’s stand, and will profile its luxurious accommodation, entertainment and dining options.

The hotel, which opened in March, is the latest addition to Hyatt’s growing Middle Eastern portfolio. The property features 249 guestrooms, alongside a residential complex available for short-term rentals and located adjacent to the main hotel, as well as two swimming pools and a private beach.

“Doha is now a global destination and Grand Hyatt Doha offers an ideal retreat whether travelling for business or leisure, or as a venue for a wedding,” said Garry Friend, general manager of GHD.

“Our new hotel offers the perfect combination of Old World design and contemporary technology,” he added.

The hotel is conveniently situated in the city’s new West Bay Lagoon district, just minutes from the city’s financial and commercial centres, places of cultural and historical interest, and Doha International Airport.

The hotel has 2,200 sq mt of function space and its 11 meeting rooms of varying sizes, with conference facilities, in addition to a 1,500 sq mt pillarless ballroom.

GHD features four signature restaurants: The Grill, Isaan, Rocca, and Biscotti, each offering a unique blend of international cooking styles and flavours.

The Doha Grand Hyatt is located alongside a 400 mt white sand beach with water sport activities. Guests can also relax in the three outdoor pools or exercise in the 25 mt indoor lap pool.

The GHD summer wedding packages include a choice of either buffet or family style menus created by the hotel’s masterful catering team, a beautifully designed wedding cake and the use of the hotel’s ballroom. As part of the package, the newlyweds will also have access to the exquisitely designed bridal suite.

The hotel, with its Old World design, is expected to provide the highest quality accommodation to the growing numbers of travellers visiting Qatar. The hotel’s interior is inspired by local architecture and blends Arabian design with contemporary materials. – TradeArabia News Service
