Sabre launches travel security, reporting tool
Manama, March 29, 2009
Sabre Travel Network, a Sabre Holdings company, has launched its Traveler Security and Data Suite (TSDS), which provides traveler security services, real-time travel patterns, and carbon emission reporting for air, car and hotel.
The suite provides secure access to travel data, complete reservation information and detailed travel reports for all air, car and hotel bookings made one year in advance of a trip and three years after a trip, for both ticketed and un-ticketed travel.
Users can also obtain carbon emissions reporting on all air, hotel and car travel, plus gain detailed access to a traveller’s itinerary through an online link to Sabre Virtually There.
A Flight Threshold report notifies companies when the number of travellers booked on one flight exceeds the organisation’s travel policy, and an interactive, web-based graphical map displays the location of all travellers quickly in the event of an emergency or disaster anywhere in the world.
“Our tools are designed to help agencies and corporations reduce costs and maximise travel spend by making more informed decisions about travel,” said Daniel Naoumovitch, CEO at Sabre Travel Network Middle East.
“By mining pre-trip and post travel data, agents and travel managers can gain a better understanding of travel patterns and use this information to optimise their travel programmes.”
One of the first adopters of TSDS in Bahrain is Dadabhai Travel, a leading business travel agency.
Dadabhai Travel’s business development manager Nitin Menon said: “This tool truly adds value that is unprecedented in the region, and we are finding an increasing number of our corporate clients are opting to use it to get a more complete view of their travel spend, and ensure a great level of security for their business travellers.”
“With the flexible reporting facilities the Suite offers, we are now able to provide them with regular updates on where their staff are travelling and provide them with back-data on travel itineraries for the past three years.
“This eases the burden for both the traveller and the company and streamlines their corporate travel tracking processes. This tool will redefine corporate travel across the region, and we are happy to be among the first to adopt it,” said Menon added.
“TSDS has been well received in the market since it launched in early March, with many of our large corporate travel customers already using it,” continued Naoumovitch.
“We continue to anticipate market needs, and are committed to investing in solutions that help our customers across the region better serve their customers through our unique and innovative tools such as the TSDS.”
“Now more than ever, it’s important to continue travelling to preserve global business relationships and do our part to keep the global economy moving - our tool helps agencies and corporations do this in a socially responsible and more cost-effective way,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
