FlyYeti starts Doha flights

Doha, April 2, 2008

FlyYeti.com, Nepal’s first low-cost carrier, today  launched non-stop service between Kathmandu, the carrier’s global hub, and Doha.

The airline, which will provide service between the two cities five times a week, recently also commenced service to Sharjah and Abu Dhabi in the UAE, and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.

The inaugural flight from Kathmandu landed at Doha Airport today.

“We are delighted to launch service to our fourth destination, Doha. Qatar is an emerging country with remarkable potential and we are glad to create direct connectivity between Qatar and Nepal,” said Adel Ali, board member and CEO of Air Arabia and Yeti Airlines International.

On Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, flights will depart Kathmandu at 7:45 am and arrive in Doha at 9:50 am. On the same days, flights will depart Doha at 10:35 am and arrive in Kathmandu at 17:50 pm.

Ali added: “By offering the highest quality services at affordable fares, FlyYeti.com will offer the most value for money air travel possible to the significant population of Nepalese expatriates living in this country, as well as give the residents of Qatar affordable access to Nepal as a holiday destination.”
