Jeddah airport receives record 49.1m passengers in 2024

King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah achieved a major milestone in 2024, recording the highest annual operational figure in Saudi airports history.
The airport served over 49.1 million passengers in 2024, representing a 14 per cent growth compared to 2023.
The airport recorded a significant 11 per cent increase in total number of flights, which exceeded 278,000. It also handled 47.1 million bags, reflecting a 21% growth compared to 2023.
Jeddah Airports Company CEO Mazen Johar credited the increase in numbers to the airport's rapid operational growth, driven by the guidance of the kingdom's leadership and the diligent oversight of the transport sector's authorities.
