Bahrain prices up 0.6pc in June

MANAMA, July 23, 2018

Bahrain’s consumer price index (CPI) increased 0.6 per cent to reach to 132.8 points in June 2018, compared with the previous month (May), data from Information & eGovernment Authority said.
 
The CPI increased by 2.8% in June 2018, compared with the same period of 2017.
 
The inflation rate in consumer prices for the first six months of 2018 was 2.7% compared with the same period of 2017.
 
The CPI increased by 2.7% in the second quarter of 2018, compared with the same period of 2017. 
 
There was 4.2% increase in the price of food and non-alcoholic beverages from May 2018 to June 2018. The increase was 3.2% from a year ago.
