Kareena to launch new beauty products line in Dubai
DUBAI, April 29, 2017
Indian superstar actress and leading fashion and lifestyle icon Kareena Kapoor, will be at Beautyworld Middle East 2017, for the Middle East launch of a line of beauty products.
A leading international trade fair for the beauty industry serving the wider region, Beautyworld Middle East will be held from May 14 to 16 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
This will be the first time that Kapoor, one of Bollywood's best known and highest-paid stars, will visit the show and her presence underlines the vast international scope and reach of the leading trade showcase for the beauty and wellness industries, said the organisers.
Born into a family that has been part of the Bollywood story since its inception, Kapoor made her debut in 2000 and since then has built up a reputation as one of the Hindi movie industry's most talented and accomplished actresses, with a vast repertoire of roles.
Aside from her film career, Kapoor has also been one of the most widely followed A-list celebrities in Mumbai's glamour set and has a multitude of followers on social media who appreciate her frank and forthright style, they stated.
According to experts, the surge in spending on beauty and personal care in the region is spurring huge interest in the Middle East from a majority of the top beauty and wellness and brands, who are flocking to the region to establish a credible presence here.
According to analysts Euromonitor International, the beauty and personal care market in the GCC is set to be worth $13.7 billion in 2020, up from $8.5 billion in 2015.
Saudi Arabia and the UAE are set to spearhead the regional growth, with the kingdom's market for beauty and personal care products estimated to hit $9.54 billion and the Emirati market at $2.72 billion in 2020.
