City Centre Muscat launches new parking system

MUSCAT, June 28, 2016

City Centre Muscat, Majid Al Futtaim's first and largest shopping destination in Oman, has launched an innovative ‘Park Assist’ guidance system for its customers.

Under this novel arrangement, the LED lighting system on the ceiling turns red when there are no spaces nearby and green when there is a space free, said a statement from City Centre Muscat.

A blue light indicates an available space for disabled parking, it said.

Additionally, the new car park guidance system kiosks located at most of the mall’s entrances will help people find their cars when they have finished shopping.

Visitors can enter their car’s plate number on the touchscreen kiosks, and click ‘Find’ to identify where their vehicle is parked.

Husam Al Mandhari, senior mall manager at City Centre Muscat, said: “Accessible, quick and easy parking is critical to our customers’ shopping experience.”

“At our mall we continuously listen and respond to our visitor’s needs; installing this innovative technology is a reflection of how we value customer feedback and look to improve the convenience in our mall with the vision of creating great moments,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
