Al Fajer to host 30th autumn trade fair in Dubai

DUBAI, December 11, 2015

Al Fajer Information and Services, the organisers of International Autumn Trade Fair (IATF) 2015, is set to host its 30th anniversary event next week in Dubai.

The fair will run from December 16 to 18 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The UAE per capita trade reached $69,704 between 2011 and 2013, according to the 'Trade Profiles' report published by World Trade Organisation (WTO), said the organisers.

The report also added that UAE merchandise exports crossed Dh1,392 billion ($379 billion) in 2013, while imports reached Dh922 billion ($251 billion) in the same period.

These statistics were highlighted on the announcement of IATF15, which is expected to attract more than 200 companies from 13 nations.

Satish Khanna, general manager of Al Fajer, said: “Consumer goods trade is an essential contributor to the UAE’s GDP. Exhibitions like IATF bring together investors and trade visitors and witness wide scale partnerships and deals to further boost this industry. We anticipate that the 30th edition of IATF 2015 will achieve a greater success.”

Rupashree Singh, exhibition manager, International Autumn Trade Fair, added: “IATF is a mixed product trade fair and for three decades has been a premium destination for exhibitors to showcase their trends and products to a widely spread and rich Middle East and MENA market.  Furthermore, the exhibition serves as a meeting point to educate people on how to be resource-efficient and sustainable in their daily lives and practices.”

IATF15 will put on display an array of products in kitchenware, tableware, bath-ware, glassware, home appliances, home décor and home textile, fashion and fashion accessories, light and electrical, travel goods, sports goods art, antiques and handicrafts, auto parts, building materials, carpets and wall coverings, cosmetics, perfumes & beauty aids, electronics and electrical, furniture, and gifts and novelties.

“IATF15 has attracted wider number of exhibitors thanks to the growing volume of trade in the UAE and the region. We are very excited for this edition of the show that is celebrating its 30th Anniversary,” Singh added. - TradeArabia News Service
