Samsung to launch enterprise-ready smartphones

DUBAI, October 14, 2015

Samsung Electronics Co, a leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, is set to launch its enterprise-ready Galaxy Note5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ at the 35th Gitex Technology Week.
 
From October 18 to 22, the powerful, defense-grade smartphones will be on display at the Dubai World Trade Centre, along with Samsung’s suite of solutions across six verticals, said a statement.
 
Mohammed Gharaibeh, head of Samsung Enterprise Business Group, Samsung Gulf Electronics, said: “Enterprise solutions should empower professionals to be great at what they do, and the Galaxy Note5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ deliver by putting industry-leading solutions in a powerful and familiar package.
 
“Driven by a commitment to relentless innovation, we took our deep expertise in consumer electronics, and developed sector-specific solutions that offer decision-makers high-performing, competitive and secure solutions for every kind of business.”
 
Samsung will showcase its full end-to-end business portfolio at the show, covering the corporate office space, education, transportation, retail, hospitality and the quick service restaurant, said the statement.
 
Nearly every vertical suite is comprised of mobile devices, mobile device management solutions, Samsung Smart Signage displays, and printing solutions that come together to amplify business outcomes and meet business requirements, such as securing enterprise data or making the in-store experience come alive customer.
 
New for corporate customers, the Galaxy Note5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ have been optimised to enhance productivity and deliver superior business performance. 
 
Armed with its exclusive S Pen, the Galaxy Note5, in particular, supplies mouse-like editing capabilities, true multi-tasking abilities, and native note-taking capacity, amplifying productivity, it said.
 
Both cutting-edge smartphones are also made to run the latest business applications, including full MDM integration and support, and can be bundled with Microsoft Office 365 with Samsung Knox workplace licenses. 
 
The only devices with a license to bundle these offerings, the Galaxy Note5 and S6 edge+ are high-powered productivity tools protected by the iron-clad security of KNOX 2.5, it added. - TradeArabia News Service
