PhotoSpring unveils automated digital photo album
CALIFORNIA, September 23, 2015
PhotoSpring has unveiled PhotoSpring 8, the world's first completely automated digital photo album on Kickstarter.
Consumers are finding it difficult to manage and view the sheer number of photos taken on smartphones and other camera devices, said a statement.
PhotoSpring 8 will provide a hassle-free way to enjoy photos using advanced image processing and artificial intelligence.
It will automatically gather photos from various sources, organise them, and display the best ones on its high resolution screen, it said.
Dan Ho, co-founder of PhotoSpring, said: “People we surveyed have expressed disappointment with never seeing their photos, difficulty keeping them organized, and frustration with not being able to find photos.
“PhotoSpring 8 solves these problems. Through technology we’ve automated the entire process. You can now see photos from your entire collection, every day, without any hassle.”
PhotoSpring 8 is a complete photo management system in a single device. The photos will be stored directly on the device to provide the highest level of privacy, with no subscription fees required.
A touch-screen interface and internal battery will allow users to browse and manage photos in any comfortable setting.
Its facial recognition technology will automatically identify and tag the people in each photo. The photos of selected people can be shared automatically to family and friends.
The search feature can be used to find photos by people, location, or date.
The album will also include a built-in, voice-activated digital assistant.
“This combination makes a lot of sense. Users will be seeing their photos on PhotoSpring 8 throughout the day, and with the voice-activated assistant they can instantly get information about weather, traffic, news, and other services," said Ho.
PhotoSpring 8 is currently available for pre-order on Kickstarter for a limited time, he added. - TradeArabia News Service
