UAE, May 17, 2015
DuPont Protection Technologies and Reebok International have collaborated to produce the new Spring-Summer 2015 Reebok CrossFit collection which will incorporate DuPont’s advanced material and feature DuPont trademarks.
DuPont and Reebok also announced the signing of a multi-year trademark license agreement for the use of the DuPont Kevlar and Dare Bigger trademarks, said a statement from the companies.
The new collection is scheduled to launch this June, it added.
DuPont Kevlar fibre is known for its extreme strength and durability and has been used for a variety of high-performance sporting apparel, accessories and equipment.
Whereas, CrossFit workouts involve challenging functional movements which are performed at high intensity, hence making DuPont Kevlar fibre perfectly suitable for the new Reebok collection which has been designed with emphasis on the specific needs of the CrossFit athlete, it stated.
Marc Doyle, president of DuPont Protection Technologies, said: “The science and engineering behind this advanced material enables athletes to Dare Bigger and push the limits of their sport.
“The collaboration is a great fit between our companies and capitalises on the synergy between our brands, allowing us to innovate and help make strong, light and durable athletic apparel and gear,” he said.
To celebrate the collaboration of this new line of Reebok CrossFit apparel, Reebok has created a short video that emphasises the unique partnership of these two top brands.
Many products are featured in the video, including the Reebok CrossFit Board Shorts built with patches made with Kevlar fibre. This product line also will be presented at the 2015 Reebok CrossFit Games, said the statement.
Corinna Werkle, senior vice president, Training at Reebok, said: “Reebok has strategically engineered Kevlar into key abrasion zones within its apparel and footwear so they are durable enough to withstand even the toughest workouts.
“We value our relationship with DuPont for the science behind these world-class products and for the power of the DuPont Kevlar brand,” she added.
The latest Reebok CrossFit apparel collection will retail from $100 MSRP to $250 MSRP, and will be available at Reebok.com, store.crossfit.com and select retailers worldwide, it added. – TradeArabia News Service
