Maersk line recently honoured Dubai-based Al Sharqi Shipping with a ‘Platinum award’ during an exclusive event which was held in Dubai, UAE.

The annual event was attended by senior officials from other top freight forwarding and logistics companies in UAE, Oman, Bahrain and other GCC Countries.

It also included top official of Maersk line, Marc Gijsbrechts - regional head of West Central Asia and Christian Juul-Nyholm - managing director of Maersk line of UAE, who honoured owners and executives of best performing logistics and shipping providers and top customers of Maersk line for the year of 2016.

Atif Rafiq, director, Al Sharqi Shipping, said: “Our company has shown resilience against the backdrop of a bleak global outlook which saw volumes being effected, increased mergers and acquisition activity among ‘Top 10 Shipping Carriers’ and announcement of new alliances.”
