Motorcity, the sole distributor of Volvo cars in Bahrain, has officially unveiled the all-new Volvo XC90, an innovative and award-winning luxury SUV in its segment, at an exclusive event at the Royal Golf Club yesterday (September 8). 

 

The event gathered Motorcity’s top management, Volvo enthusiasts as well as members of the media, said a statement.

 

The all-new XC90 is a combination of design, luxury, performance, comfort, connectivity and safety that sets the benchmark for automotive excellence, it said.

 

The contemporary SUV, which is available as five or seven-seater, represents Volvo’s distinctive take on what it means to drive a luxury car in the 21st century.

 

It features a an interior that gives the luxury of space and calm, designed to ensure a first-class ride. In the lavishly appointed cabin, luxurious materials and superb craftsmanship meet uncluttered elegance.  

 

The customers can choose the interior components by selecting from different options of seating solutions; they can pick between real wood, carbon fibre, aluminium or charcoal décor panels, leather or Nappa leather, with a choice between one or two tone design steering wheels.

 

Volvo's new Sesus user interface is a modern in-car control system, that reinvents the way drivers operate their cars. The traditional selection of buttons and controls has been replaced with a smooth, intuitive interaction between a large tablet styled touch screen, controls on the steering wheel and a capable voice-control system. 

 

The model features one of the top audio systems in the world by Bowers and Wilkins.

 

Meanwhile, the XC90 gives a smooth, solid ride of a premium SUV combined with sharp handling and response.  The T6 engine, equipped with a supercharger and turbocharger, will deliver a whopping power output of 320 HP and a maximum torque of 400 Nm from just 2000rpm. This engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

 

It has also been packed with intuitive safety technologies as standard. It features a a run-off road protection package and an auto brake at intersection capability. 

 

On the driver support side, the new Adaptive Cruise Control with Pilot Assist will enable safe and comfortable semi-autonomous driving by automatically following the vehicle ahead in stop-and-go traffic. Acceleration and braking are controlled automatically to ensure a safe distance from other cars.

 

Motorcity is offering a value proposition to customers, who will be treated to an all-inclusive first class offer, which incorporates a five-year unlimited kilometre warranty, five years of road assistance across the GCC, in addition to a free service and maintenance package for five years or 100,000km, said the statement.

 

The future value has also been considered by providing a guaranteed buy-back agreement. The package also includes free window tinting and registration as standard, it said.

 

The dealer is also offering two distinct payment schemes that will will give the buyer flexibility to select the solution that most suits their budget. The Full Lease Option will enable the customer to drive the all-new XC90 with zero down payment, full insurance, and no extra costs through partner Kanoo Vehicle Leasing (KVL) with monthly instalments starting from only BD445 ($1,170) per month. 

 

The Bank Loan Option will offer the all-new XC90 for as little as BD 275 per month. 

 

Two new dedicated services are also being launched for all Volvo clients in Bahrain this month. The Volvo Premier Club providing a dedicated concierge service for appointments, information, discounts on service and spare parts, referral benefits, trade-in evaluation bonus, in addition to access a partners network that will provide additional discounts, said the statement.

 

All Volvo car owners, regardless of age or condition of their current car, can register for free and receive their complimentary club membership card at the Sitra Volvo Showroom, it added. - TradeArabia News Service
