SsangYong launches compact crossover Tivoli in Bahrain
MANAMA, August 26, 2015
Motorcity, the sole distributor of the Korean brand SsangYong in Bahrain, has unveiled the Tivoli, a new crossover SUV, at an exclusive event in its showroom in Sanad today (August 26).
The Tivoli arrives with a fresh modern design, practical application and smart technology features, said a statement.
It is a progressive compact SUV with a sharp and unique design, which defies the conventional image that SUVs are bulky and heavy, it said.
Named after the Italian cultural city of Tivoli, SsangYong considers this model, the epitome of its 'dignified, dynamic and rhythmical' design philosophy, said the statement.
The LED head lights with two-tone body give the car a stronger profile. Inside, the car is fitted with a D-cut steering wheel and two-toned seats, it said.
The model has been packed with innovative features, maximising its functionality. It comes with a smart audio system and touch screen mirroring technology that can reflect a smartphone's screen onto the car's seven-inch display.
Other features include a dual-zone air conditioning system and push start/stop button, cruise control as well as parking sensors with camera.
The smart steer function, which has normal, comfort and sport modes, will maximise steering control and ensures safe driving. The electronic power steering will also enhance fuel economy.
About 70 per cent of the Tivoli's structure uses high strength steel that helps to mitigate shock to passengers in a crash situation, said the statement.
Its safety includes a minimum of two front airbags and offers an option of seven airbags; including a knee airbag for the driver's seat while other safety features available on the car include Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD).
Equipped with the 1.6-litre, 128 HP engine and Japan's Aisin six-speed automatic transmission, the car offers a smooth and sound driving experience, it said.
The suspension system - MacPherson struts for the front wheels and a torsion beam on the back ― provide a softer, stable driving performance, it added. - TradeArabia News Service
