The 5th edition of Riyadh Season 2024, a major event that offers diverse entertainment options, including sporting championships, foods, festivals and fashion, will begin on October 12, said the General Entertainment Authority (GEA).

GEA Chairman Turki Al-Sheikh said that the new edition that will offer 14 entertainment events, 11 world championships, in addition to 10 festivals and exhibitions, will be held on an area of ​​7.2 million sq m, a Saudi Gazette report said.

About 2,100 companies will participate, of which local firms account for about 95%.

Highlights

• This edition will showcase a new feature – the 9,425 sqm Venue Zone that has a capacity of 8,000.
• About 70% of the events, including the Riyadh Season Tennis Cup event, will be held within the Boulevard City area.
• The 140,000 sq m ‘Boulevard Runway’ is a new zone, which in partnership with Saudi Airlines, will display unused aircraft models.
• Riyadh Season in cooperation with the international designer Elie Saab will hold a fashion show, and the Joy Awards ceremony.
• The season will showcase one of the largest real dinosaur models in Boulevard City.
• Winter Garden features 15 different shows and can accommodate 23,000 people.
• The ‘free areas’ houses a 116,000 sqm zoo, and is expected to receive several visitors.
• Al Awalen market will offer popular foods from all regions of Saudi Arabia.
