Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the managing body and operator of Bahrain International Airport (BIA), has revised car parking tariffs effective June 12.

The revised tariff aims to provide additional car parking options and aspires to achieve better utilisation across BIA’s car parks, said the company.

The new tariff will include a considerable reduction for the premium car park (Car Park A) opposite the passenger terminal building and will see charges reduced by 50 per cent on a promotional basis from BD10 per day to BD5 per day.

Tariff for the remote long-term carpark in Galali serviced by dedicated shuttle services will be reduced from BD1 per day to BD0.500 per day. The charge for the long-term car parking area (Car Park B,D,E,F) will now be  BD2 per day.

BAC is also undertaking additional capacity improvements at BIA which will soon expand the current long-term remote car park capacity from 1,300 spaces to more than 4,000 spaces. This is in addition to the provision of additional shuttle services to the long-term car parks to ensure that the airport meets the increase in demand expected over the summer period. -TradeArabia News Service
