More than one in four Bahraini women were subjected to domestic violence in the first nine months of this year, it has been revealed. According to figures released by the Interior Ministry, 27 per cent of the country’s female citizens have come forward and filed an official complaint against their abusers since the beginning of 2015, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
