Crackdown on meat profiteers in Bahrain

MANAMA, October 8, 2015

A crackdown has begun on meat profiteers trying to exploit confusion in the markets in the wake of recent subsidy cuts in Bahrain. Three restaurants in Hamad Town, Arad and Riffa were shut down by authorities from the Industry, Commerce and Tourism Ministry yesterday, amid claims that they were overcharging for their meat, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
