Bahrain in drive to combat human trafficking

Bahrain is setting out major plans to combat human trafficking.
Legal measures are underway to bolster Bahrain’s efforts to combat the scourge, it was revealed, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
Labour Market Regulatory Authority chief executive, head of the national anti-human trafficking committee Ausamah Al Absi announced the initiative.
“The planned legal measures will be more forceful in protecting victims’ rights and deterring violators,” he said, stressing the importance of co-operation with embassies of countries which are the main suppliers of expatriate workers. - TradeArabia News Service
