Mondelēz names sales head for Gulf

Dubai, May 14, 2014

Mondelēz International, the world’s largest snacks-food company with iconic brands such as Cadbury milk chocolate and Oreo biscuits, has appointed Jose Esteve as director Sales in the Gulf region.

Esteve’s main objectives are to drive sales in key markets in the region, most notably Saudi Arabia, where Mondelez Arabia is expanding its footprint.

Esteve will also work on growing the company’s route-to-market network to reach more consumers among the 46 million people in GCC. Esteve replaces John Stephenson who returns to the UK after nearly a decade in the region.

Vishal Tikku, vice president & Middle East Area director of Mondelēz International, said: “We are very excited to have a thoroughly experienced and diverse individual such as Jose Esteve in the Mondelēz International family. We are eagerly looking forward to integrating his talent and track record, and are confident that—as a result—Mondelēz International will continue to grow and succeed in the region in the years to come.”

Esteve comes to Mondelēz International with more than 20 years of experience in international markets. Before joining Mondelēz International, Esteve was vice president Europe at SuperMax, a food and beverage company.

“I am delighted to join Mondelēz International,” Esteve said. “The company’s growth and achievements in the region have been exceptional, and I am excited at the opportunity of being part of this prestigious organisation where I know my experience will broaden and contribute to the company’s expansion.” – TradeArabia News Service
