Sanjeev Kapoor captivates Treat visitors

Super celebrity chef and television personality Sanjeev Kapoor was the main attraction on the opening day of Treat – the BurJuman World Food Fest 2013 which opened yesterday.
Chef Kapoor, who has teamed up with the Melia Hotel in Dubai, for his restaurant, Signature, turned up the heat in his inimitable style at the mall’s Teka Chef’s Theatre, taking 12 masterclass participants and a large audience through the intricacies of his innovative fusion Indian dishes, a statement from an official said.
“I believe Dubai is one of the top-10 gastronomical destinations in the world. There is no cuisine that is not represented here in all its authenticity and complexity,” said Chef Kapoor. “But good food should always be simple – that’s my mantra. We complicate our lives enough, so we should at least try to have food that is pure, uncomplicated and naturally tasty.”
Chefs Diyan, Dammika and Sai from Radisson Blu, will demonstrate the secrets of modern German and Vietnamese cuisines on May 16, the statement said.
With a series of free masterclasses, cooking demos, audience competitions, rewards and free sampling, Treat – The BurJuman World Food Fest 2013 – is offering a wonderful interactive opportunity to dining enthusiasts, aspiring chefs, families and foodies to learn about different aspects of fine dining from leading industry experts at no cost.
