UAE bags 24 Stevie awards

The UAE bagged 24 wins at the eighth annual International Business Awards, or “Stevies”, the all-encompassing business awards programme, at an event in Abu Dhabi.
Organisations and individuals from 35 nations were awarded for business excellence across different categories at the event held recently at the Emirates Palace Hotel.
Seha, the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company, and its healthcare providers won in two categories and garnered distinguished honoree status in several others.
Seha won the Stevie for the Fastest Growing Company in the Middle East & Africa 2011, and was also Distinguished Honoree in the company of the Year 2011 category.
Mafraq Hospital, won the award for Customer Services of the Year 2011, and was selected as Distinguished Nominee for Company of the Year 2011 as well.
In addition, Tawam Hospital also grabbed two Distinguished Honoree mentions.

“Not only were Seha and its partners successful in contributing to the UAE’s exceptional tally of awards, but we were also nominated as Distinguished Honorees in several categories. This is an indication of the effort Seha and its partners have put into living up to our collective mission of offering world-class healthcare for the emirate of Abu Dhabi.”
SKMC’s Interventional Pulmonology Department at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, was named Distinguished Honoree for the Best New Product or Service of the Year in the Health Products & Services category. Al Rahba Hospital’s Finance Department was also noted as Distinguished Honoree for Support Team of the Year 2011.
“On this occasion, I would like to congratulate the leadership of the Abu Dhabi and the UAE in fostering the spirit of excellence in its economies and communities, which is directly responsible for the country’s strong showing at the awards. I also congratulate the Seha team and all our partners for their commitment and diligence in pursuing high standards of consistent excellence,” Al Mehairi added.
Stevie Award trophy and Distinguished Honoree medal winners were selected from more than 3,000 entries received from organizations and individuals in more than 50 nations.
The event saw organisations and individuals in 35 nations recognized for business achievements, including first-time winners Bahrain, Peru, Saudi Arabia, and Slovakia.
The US led the way in Stevies won, with 42. South Korea comes in second with 29. The UK won 22 awards followed by Turkey with 11 and Germany with 10. – TradeArabia News Service
