Popular children’s entertainers The Wiggles are set to perform four shows next month in Abu Dhabi as part of their 20th anniversary tour.

Brought to the UAE capital by Flash Entertainment, The Wiggles will perform 4 exclusive shows on May 13 and 14 at the Flash Forum in Yas Island.

Anthony, Murray, Jeff and Sam, with their friends ‘Wags the Dog’, ‘Dorothy the Dinosaur’, ‘Captain Feathersword’ and ‘Henry the Octopus’ will feature in the shows, a statement said.

“We’re so excited to be bringing our live show to new audiences in Abu Dhabi. Much of what we do comes from the child’s perspective and an awareness of their early development. This is part of our popularity around the world: our songs are educational as well as highly entertaining,” said Anthony Field.

The guys met while studying Early Childhood Education at Sydney's Macquarie University. The three began writing children's songs as one of their music projects and The Wiggles were born.

Since releasing their first album in 1991, The Wiggles have sold over 23 million DVDs and videos worldwide and have a long list of famous fans.

Flash Entertainment spokesperson, Shatha Al Romaithi, said: “The Wiggles have had great success worldwide, selling out concerts within hours of tickets going on sale.”
