Security, stability 'key to reforms'

Security and stability have played a crucial role in ensuring Bahrain's landmark achievements and development strides, said His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander.

Prince Salman pointed out the pillars of developments as he visited the headquarters of the Special Forces.

 He was welcomed by Interior Minister Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, head of Public Security and the Special Forces Commander.

He said that Bahrain was resolved more than ever to continue the march of reform and modernisation, as desired by His Majesty King Hamad.

He also stressed the importance of engaging Bahrainis who want all good for their homeland, setting a remarkable embodiment of true citizenship.

He paid tribute to the security forces for their dedication to serve the nation.

'Your remarkable and unflinching efforts have protected the lives of innocent people, restored order and maintained security and stability across Bahrain,' he said.

He also lauded the efforts of the security forces for bringing back normal life in Bahrain, extended heartfelt condolences to bereaved families of the martyrs of duty, who sacrificed their lives defending the nation.

The security forces were also lauded for defending the nation, protecting citizens and expatriates' lives and deterring any acts which may harm people, disrupt their interest, sow divisions and drive wedges between people.

In this regard, the Crown Prince hailed the security forces' discipline and responsibility to create a favourable ground for a national dialogue.

'The national dialogue, which was launched by His Majesty, represents the best option to achieve national consensus, meet demands and continue on the path of reform,' he said.

He stressed the importance of continuing efforts to develop the security forces and enhance their readiness and competence to carry out their duties and keep protecting people's lives, safeguard properties, preserve national achievements and confront potential security challenges.

The Interior Minister thanked HRH the Crown Prince for his visit and keenness to support the security forces. He stressed the importance of the visit in this defining moment in boosting the morale of the security forces.

'Police is always resolved to assume its duties to keep security and safety and embody the concept of community partnership,' he said.-TradeArabia News Service
