Abu Dhabi Media adds new travel title

Abu Dhabi Media has signed the publishing contract for the Middle East edition of the renowned Ultratravel magazine, to be distributed free-of-charge alongside its English language daily newspaper, The National, from March 24.

Ultratravel is a high quality, quarterly glossy magazine, distributed across Europe that showcases the world’s premium travel brands. The Middle East version will maintain Ultratravel’s superior editorial standards, with a wealth of locally generated travel content tailor-made for this region, including specialised reports on luxury international and regional travel destinations, the latest travel accessories, insider tips and travel advice.

“The Middle East is situated at the world's geographical and cultural crossroads, making it the ideal hub for travel. Ultratravel will bring the best of leisure travel editorial directly to one of the fastest growing global travel markets in the world, and is set to satisfy the demand for a high-quality, reputable travel title in this region,” stated Rosemary Behan, editor of Ultratravel.

“The collaboration with Ultratravel marries The National and Abu Dhabi Media's regional heft and expertise with a travel brand that has grown exponentially in terms of revenue and influence in recent years,” added Gavin Dickinson, executive director of publishing at Abu Dhabi Media.

Ultratravel will be launched with The National on March 24, with 65,000 copies distributed across the UAE. The publishing contract between Ultratravel and The National is valid for three years. The magazine will not be available for retail sale.-TradeArabia News Service
