The International Defence Exhibition & Conference (IDEX) has appointed the Institute for Near East and Gulf Military Analysis (Inegma) as the organiser for the Gulf Defence Conference to be held on February 19 in Abu Dhabi.

The defence conference will run alongside the IDEX, the region’s largest defence and security show being organised by Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (Adnec) in association with the UAE Armed Forces GHQ.

The event is expected to feature highly acclaimed international and regional experts, taking delegates through some of latest developments and issues faced in today’s defence technology market.

'We are delighted to have Inegma on board to organise the Gulf Defence Conference at Idex 2011,' said Mohamed Al Mashgouni, IDEX 2011 show director. 

A high-profile event, IDEX will be held under the patronage of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, from February 20 to 24.

The conference has always been integral to IDEX, and we are confident that Inegma will bring all of their experience to deliver a high calibre conference as IDEX celebrates its 10th anniversary, said Mashgouni.
