A high-level delegation from South Africa led by Paul Mashatile, Treasurer General of the African National Congress and the Envoy of the South African President, met Dr Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs at his office.

Dr Gargash received from Mashatile a message from the South African President Cyril Ramaphosa addressed to HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, confirming South Africa's participation in Expo 2020 Dubai, said the state news agency Wam.

During the meeting, both the parties discussed ways to boost bilateral ties and also develop cooperation in the field of economic and politics, as well as other issues of common interest. They also dwelt at length on the latest developments in the international and regional arena, it added.
