1915 by Seddiqi & Sons collects 2,200 watches in charity drive
DUBAI, August 10, 2017
1915 by Seddiqi & Sons, a one-stop destination for the latest trends in fashion watches, jewellery pieces and accessories, collected around 2,200 watches through its recent #WatchInWatchOut charity campaign.
These watches were presented to the UAE Red Crescent during a ceremony at its office in Dubai, in the presence of Osama Ibrahim Seddiqi and Mohammed Abdulhamied Seddiqi from 1915 by Seddiqi & Sons, and Mohammed Al Zarouni from the UAE Red Crescent, who accepted them on behalf of the beneficiaries.
This unique campaign gave customers in the UAE a chance to donate their watches for a community-led initiative, in return for a 50 per cent discount on a watch of their choice from selected brands and models from 1915 by Seddiqi & Sons.
The company created this campaign specifically to encourage the community to connect with each other and support the ones in need, proving that a simple act of kindness such as donating a personal item can mean the world to others, it said.
Mohammed Abdulmagied Seddiqi, chief commercial officer Seddiqi Holding, said: “The campaign has fast gained momentum in its second year and has received massive amounts of donations from consumers who have always shown their support and profound passion by small acts of generosity coupled with the joy of shopping.
“As part of our obligation to support different causes, 1915 by Seddiqi and Sons will be taking part at various community initiatives throughout the year, by providing meaningful platforms to the local communities to lend a hand to the less fortunate members. Proudly, this year our #WatchInWatchOut’ campaign comes in line with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum declaration of the year 2017 as the Year of Giving,” he added.
Al Zarouni, manager of the Dubai branch of the UAE Red Crescent, said: “At UAE Red Crescent, we continually strive to support families in need across the world and we are always open to charitable collaborations with reputable groups to serve such causes. We are extremely pleased to be partners with 1915 by Seddiqi & Sons as a UAE-based company with grand heritage, on this charity project for the first time, and would hope to continue for years to come.” - TradeArabia News Service
